Our Story

My name is John, and I founded East of Andes. I've been a musician, teacher, broadband technician, and more. I believe everyone deserves respect and opportunity. I want to give back and give hope to those who need it. My retirement funds will be used in Loja to serve the disadvantaged. Portions of East of Andes' income will support efforts to feed, clothe, and educate needy children and families in Ecuador's poorest province. Join my son and I, and any local American expats that choose to participate in this great cause.

Our Mission

East of Andes respects the values of the local population in Loja, Ecuador. We support their wants and needs. Our mission is to bring income to the locals and provide support for the growth and development of Loja's children. We aim to make a real difference by providing food, clothing, pre-school education, educational resources for older students, and employment opportunities, such as hiring locals as tour guides.
