Welcome to East of Andes

Discover enchanting Loja, Ecuador, nestled in the Andes mountains through our guided tours while making a positive impact on the local community through your financial contribution. Join us in our mission to support economically disadvantaged children and families.

My name is John. I have worn many hats over the years. Musician, teacher, broadband technician, home satellite tech...the list goes on.

Perhaps the most important thing I have learned in the 10s of thousands of interactions in my life is that we are all people, and we all deserve respect and opportunity. When I was young I took from everyone. As I have aged I started giving back. My passion is giving hope to those who need it. With some help from those more fortunate, I would like to start a new mission, If it can be called such. My small retirement funds can be better used in Loja. Serving the disadvantaged is my new goal. Portions of income from East of Andes will support our efforts to feed, cloth, and educate needy children and their families in the poorest provence of the fine country of Ecuador. Please join my son and I, and any local American expats who decide to help out in a great cause.
